Last week we were awarded the Buying Local First award by Sustainable Connections. The Buying Local First award was one of four of the Sustainable Champion Awards presented by Sustainable Connections, as a means of recognizing local businesses that are striving to make a difference in the community.
That said, we would like to start by saying thanks to everyone that voted for us and that has supported us in our goal of consistently buying local! It is a huge honor to receive this award, especially considering the other outstanding nominees:Book Fare Cafe, Ciao Thyme, The Fountain Bistro, and the North Cascades Institute. Winners of the other awards were North Fork Brewery, Assembly Plus, and the Community Food Co-op.
