When Eric Shew, of Shew Design, built our first website he told us,“You can’t just tell people what you do, you have to show them.” That statement stuck with us. We’ve spent the last 13 years (!!!) building a business that proves that companies can be a force for good. Certifying as a B Corporation simply makes it official and shows folks that we’re walking the talk. 

The process of becoming certified as a B Corporation is arduous. The certification proves high standards of social and environmental performance and requires that businesses make a legal commitment to be accountable to all stakeholders, not just shareholders. This includes employees, suppliers, subcontractors, the environment and clients. The process requires a high level of transparency on factors ranging from supply chain best practices to employee benefits to charitable giving. 

We’ve always strived to harness the power of the business to create a positive impact for employees, our community and the environment. On a daily basis we consider our social and environmental impact; we work as a force for good in Whatcom County; and we hope that we’re helping lead the way toward a more equitable, regenerative, and inclusive society.
